Ingredients
-
2 apples
-
2 tbsp almond butter @pranasnacks
-
¼ cup granola @pranasnacks
Directions
Pock a few small holes in your apples with a knife;
Roll the apples in aluminum foil
Place the apple into hot coals (not flames)
After 5 minutes, turn the apples to let the other side cook
After 5 more minutes the apples should be soft - depending on the kind and size of apples they might need a little extra
Remove from the coals and let them cool until you can handle them
Open the foil forming a small bowl around the apples, loosen the skin and add the almond butter and the granola on top
Watch the granola's chocolate chunks melt and enjoy these easy, healthy and decadent CAMPFIRE APPLE PIES with a spoon.
Recipe Note
You can use parchment paper to create a layer between the aluminum foil and the apple.
